Where we work
Canterbury’s the base. From here we cover the city, the coast and the villages — each with its own parking and access to work around.
Home base — the city-centre terraces inside the walls, the student streets around the universities, and the newer estates out towards the ring road. Tight lanes, permit parking and one-way systems we already know.
Down on the coast — narrow fishermen’s cottages, alleys you can’t get a big van down, and steep bits near the harbour. We size the van to the street, not the other way round.
Along the seafront and back into the residential grid — bungalows, flats and family houses, mostly straightforward loading with a bit of seafront wind to work around.
The market town west of the city — period cottages, creek-side homes and the newer developments off the A2. Some listed frontages that want careful handling.
The villages either side of Canterbury — country lanes, gravel drives and the odd tight gateway, plus student houses out towards the Blean campus.
The old Cinque Port to the east — medieval streets so narrow a Luton has to think twice, so we plan the approach and the carry before the day.
