Canterbury & East Kent · CT1

Removals in Canterbury,
done straight.

House moves, man & van, business moves, packing and storage — priced honestly, handled by a local crew who know the city’s lanes and permits. And when the move leaves the country, we run that too.

  • Straight written quotes — no day-of surprises
  • The crew that quotes it, does it
  • Right van, right crew, right price

What we do

Pick the job. We’ll price it straight.

No fancy tiers, no jargon. Just the jobs people actually book in Canterbury — sized honestly and quoted in plain numbers.

01 Homes

House & flat moves

The bread and butter — a flat in the city, a house out in the villages, a bungalow on the coast. One team from the first box to the last, no depot in the middle, nothing left behind.

  • Blankets, covers and corner protection on the lot as standard
  • Beds, wardrobes and flat-pack taken apart and put back together
  • Careful with the heavy, awkward and fragile — you point, we lift
  • Parking and access sorted at both ends before the day

02 Small jobs

Man & van

A driver and a van for the smaller stuff — a single room, a few big items, a student move, a marketplace pickup. Sized honestly so you’re not paying for a lorry to shift a sofa.

  • One or two movers and the right size of van
  • Single items, part-loads and quick collections
  • Student and shared-house moves around the universities
  • A hand up the stairs, not just a bloke watching you carry

03 Business

  • Evenings and weekends to keep you trading
  • Desks, screens and kit shifted and reconnected
  • Crate hire and a proper plan for bigger premises
  • Storage for the overflow while you settle in

Packing

Do it yourself, get us to do the lot, or just hand us the breakables — your call. Proper boxes and materials, everything labelled so it lands in the right room.

  • Full pack, part pack, or fragile-only — your choice
  • Good boxes, wrap and tape supplied
  • Everything labelled by room so unpacking is easy
  • Unpacking at the other end if you want it

05 Add-on

Storage

Somewhere clean and dry to put it when the dates don’t line up or the new place isn’t ready. A few boxes or a whole house, on the same booking as the move.

  • Clean, dry, secure space sized to what you’ve got
  • A list taken as it goes in, so you know what’s where
  • Move-and-store on one booking, one team
  • A few days or a good while — your call

Something in between?

Most moves are a mix — a house move with a bit of packing, a man-and-van job plus a week in storage. Just tell us the lot and we’ll price it as one.

No upsell

Right van, right crew — nothing more

Some firms quote you a big lorry and a full team for a job that needs a van and a bloke. We size it to what you’ve actually got, so you’re not paying for fresh air.

Get it sized
  • 1

    Small van + 1

Fits A single room, a few big items, a student move, a marketplace pickup.

One mover, one van. The cheap-as-sensible option for a small job — no lorry, no fuss.

  • 2

    Luton + 2

Fits A one or two-bed flat, a small house, an office clear-out.

A box van with a tail-lift and a two-person crew — the workhorse of most Canterbury moves.

  • 3

    Luton + 3–4

Fits A family house, a big flat with lots of furniture, a business relocation.

More hands and, if it’s a big one, more than one van — so it’s done in one steady run.

Not sure which one you need? That’s our job — tell us the move and we’ll work it out.

Straight up

What’s in the price — and what isn’t

A quote should be a quote. Here’s exactly what you’re getting, what can move the number, and the stuff we simply won’t do.

In the price
  • Blankets, covers and corner protection on your furniture
  • Taking beds and wardrobes apart, and building them back up
  • Loading, driving and unloading by the same crew
  • A proper look-round so nothing gets left behind
What affects it
  • How much there is, and how much of it is big or heavy
  • The floor, the stairs and whether there’s a lift
  • Parking and access — a permit street, a red route, a narrow lane
  • Extras you want, like a full pack or a spell in storage
What we’ll never do
  • Quote low to win it, then add “extras” on the day
  • Turn up with the wrong-size van and blame the job
  • Charge you for a lorry and a full team you didn’t need
  • Disappear when you’ve got a question before the move

Where we work

Canterbury & East Kent

Canterbury’s the base. From here we cover the city, the coast and the villages — each with its own parking and access to work around.

Canterbury

CT1

Home base — the city-centre terraces inside the walls, the student streets around the universities, and the newer estates out towards the ring road. Tight lanes, permit parking and one-way systems we already know.

Whitstable

CT5

Down on the coast — narrow fishermen’s cottages, alleys you can’t get a big van down, and steep bits near the harbour. We size the van to the street, not the other way round.

Herne Bay

CT6

Along the seafront and back into the residential grid — bungalows, flats and family houses, mostly straightforward loading with a bit of seafront wind to work around.

Faversham

ME13

The market town west of the city — period cottages, creek-side homes and the newer developments off the A2. Some listed frontages that want careful handling.

Sturry & Blean

CT2

The villages either side of Canterbury — country lanes, gravel drives and the odd tight gateway, plus student houses out towards the Blean campus.

Sandwich

CT13

The old Cinque Port to the east — medieval streets so narrow a Luton has to think twice, so we plan the approach and the carry before the day.

Moving to or from somewhere just outside — Ashford, Deal, Dover, Margate, Ramsgate? We cover those on a Canterbury move too. More on coverage →

Why us

A local crew, no messing

We’re not a booking site that sends a stranger. We quote it, we turn up, we do it — and we answer for it.

  • 01

    A straight quote, no games

You tell us the job, we tell you the price in writing. No lowball to win it then extras on the day — what we say is what you pay.

  • 02

The crew that quotes it, does it

No call centre booking a stranger’s van. Local movers who know Canterbury’s lanes, permits and one-way systems.

  • 03

    Right van, right crew

We size the job honestly — a small van and one mover, or a Luton and a team. You’re not paying for more than you need.

  • 04

    Careful is the default

Covers on the furniture, protection on the floors, and a proper look-round so nothing’s forgotten and nothing’s scuffed.

Good to know

Straight answers

How do I get a price?

Fill in the quote form with the job — both addresses, which floor, roughly what’s going and anything awkward. We read it and email you a straight, written, no-obligation price. For bigger moves we’ll have a quick look first, in person or on a video call, so the number’s right.

Is the quote fixed, or will it change on the day?

What we quote is what you pay, as long as the job matches what you told us. We don’t lowball to win the work and then pile on extras. If something genuinely changes — twice the boxes, a piano you didn’t mention — we’ll talk to you about it before we do anything, not after.

Do you do small jobs, or only full house moves?

Both. A single item, a few bits, a student room or a shared-house move is a man-and-van job — one or two movers and the right size of van. A full house gets a full crew. We size it honestly so you’re not paying for a lorry to shift a sofa.

Can you deal with Canterbury’s parking and narrow streets?

It’s half the job here. The city-centre lanes, the permit zones, the one-way system and the tight coastal streets in Whitstable and Sandwich — we know them. We check the parking and access for your address first and bring a van that actually fits, or plan the carry from where we can legally stop.

Do you move out of Canterbury to Europe?

Yes — removals from Canterbury to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. It’s packed to travel here, driven out on a planned road route via a Channel crossing, and the customs paperwork is explained in plain English. Have a look at the Europe page for how it works.
